SIM Check by Number in Pakistan: What You Can Safely Verify
Understand the difference between checking a SIM you own, identifying its network, using MNP 667, and trying to search a stranger’s private owner record.
Can you check SIM owner details by number?
Searches such as “check SIM owner name free,” “SIM owner details check by number,” and “mobile number details finder Pakistan” usually mix two different needs. You may want to confirm a SIM in your hand, or you may want to identify an unknown caller.
For a SIM you own, use an authenticated operator account, official helpline, authorized franchise, or a current MNP process. For a stranger’s number, do not use an unofficial database to obtain their full name, CNIC, address, call history, or live location. Those are private records, not a normal public lookup.
MNP 667: use the current official instructions
People search for “MNP 667 SIM verification code” because 667 is associated with Mobile Number Portability. MNP services can provide portability-related information for a SIM in your possession, but the exact message format, response, eligibility, and charges are controlled by the current operator/MNP process.
For example, an official Ufone MNP guide describes starting an online port-in request by sending MNP to 667 and then forwarding the reply for the porting process. That is a portability workflow—not permission to search any stranger’s number. Review the operator’s current instructions before sending a message.

How to verify a SIM that is in your possession
- Confirm that the SIM and phone are physically with you or that you are the authorized account holder.
- Use the network operator’s official app, helpline, or customer service center.
- Ask what verification is currently available for the account and what identity documents are required.
- If you are checking the wider identity record, use the PTA 668 and cnic.sims.pk CNIC guide instead of a random number-search website.
Do not use an SMS code received on somebody else’s phone, and do not ask a stranger to forward an OTP. Verification codes are private authentication factors.
What to do about an unknown number
A reverse lookup will not reliably tell you whether a caller is safe. Caller ID can be spoofed, recycled numbers exist, and an online name result may be wrong or stolen. If you do not recognize a caller:
- Do not share an OTP, CNIC scan, PIN, password, or banking information.
- Do not install an APK or browser extension offered by the caller.
- Block the number if it is unwanted and keep screenshots of threatening messages.
- Report fraud, harassment, or threats through the relevant operator and authorities.
If the number appears in the official list for your own CNIC, follow the unknown SIM on CNIC guide rather than trying to investigate the person through an unofficial database.
Network and number information
Number prefixes can be misleading after number portability. For network information, use a current official operator or PTA-linked method. The PTA SIM Information System page also displays a network-check instruction for a number sent to 76367; verify the current charge and format on the live official page before using it.

SIM check by number FAQs
Can I get a full name and CNIC from a mobile number?
A legitimate public search should not expose another person’s full identity record. Use official verification for your own SIM, or report a harmful caller instead.
Is there a free live tracker number search in Pakistan?
Be skeptical of any website promising live location or a private “SIM database.” SIM registration and device location are different systems, and unverified sites may be phishing for identity data.
How do I check a Jazz, Telenor, Zong, or Ufone number?
Start with the operator’s official app or support channel, then use the PTA identity-level check if you are auditing your own CNIC. Do not use a generic owner-lookup site.
